Ametista do Sul will host the 1st Gaucho Landscaping and Rural Tourism Forum on the 17th, 18th and 19th of October. The event is a promotion by Emater/RS-Ascar, through the Frederico Westphalen Regional Office, Rio Grande do Sul State Tourism Secretariat (Setur), Ametista do Sul City Hall, Ametista do Sul Tourism Development Association (ADTA), Águas e Pedras do Médio Alto Uruguay Tourism Association (Atap), with support from the Association of Municipalities in the Production Zone (Amzop), Sicredi Conexão and the State Secretariat for Rural Development (SDR).
The event seeks to qualify the region and will welcome participants from all over the State to consolidate and expand the work with Landscaping and Rural Tourism. “It is necessary to realize that landscaping is an instrument of social transformation, well-being and income. With it, the improvement and beautification of rural properties, community headquarters, interchanges, agro-industries and tourist sites is promoted, through landscaping, gardening and surrounding organization practices. This work provides physical, mental and emotional well-being”, explained rural extension worker from Emater/RS-Ascar Dulcenéia Haas Wommer.
The Forum will feature a complete program and the participation of renowned Brazilian landscape designers and professionals in the field, such as Toni Backes (Nova Petrópolis/RS), José Francisco Benetti (Canela/RS), Augusto Aki (Belo Horizonte/MG), Vanessa Zechin ( Porto Alegre/RS), Luciano Soares (Urubici/SC), among other experts. Parallel to the event, the Art and Garden Exhibition and Agroindustry Fair will take place on the 18th and 19th, an opportunity for agribusinesses to publicize and sell products, in addition to providing rural enterprises with knowledge about rural tourism, an alternative for properties rural. On October 17th, the official opening ceremony of the Forum will take place at Vinícola Ametista, with the presence of authorities and leaders from across the State.
