This Saturday, the 30th, the 20th Porto Alegre Book Exchange Fair takes place, from 2pm to 5pm in the lobby of the Municipal Culture Center (av. Erico Verissimo, 307 – Menino Deus). The event was established by Municipal Law nº 9716, of December 30, 2004 and allows people to exchange titles already read for others not yet read.
Participating libraries have already been confirmed, and readers can prepare the books they want to exchange. During the fair, the library will operate normally for loans and local consultations. In addition to the Josué Guimarães Library, school libraries from Porto Alegre and other municipalities, specialized libraries and even a mobile library participate in the fair.
