One of the most expressive chamber ensembles in Europe, the Salzburg Piano Trio comes to Porto Alegre for a single performance on October 4th, Wednesday, at 8pm, at Instituto Ling. Formed by the Brazilian-Danish violinist Lavard Skou Larsen, born in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, and the Latvian cellist Ramon Jaffé and the Israeli pianist Revital Hachamoff, the group will present a program with works such as Trio op. 97 for piano, violin and cello, also known as Beethoven’s Archduke Trio and Piano Trio in A minor, op. 50, by Tchaikovsky.
Created in 1984, the Salzburg Piano Trio quickly made a name for itself on the chamber music scene. His tours went through almost every country in Europe, South America and countries like Israel. The group has also performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals such as Schleswig Holstein, in Germany; Open Chamber Music Prussia Cove, England; Mozart Festival in Rovereto, Italy, in addition to the Salzburger Kulturtage, in Austria.
At the beginning of the formation, the trio was composed by the Italian pianist Nicola Frisardi, followed by a collaboration with the German pianist Andreas Frölich. A few years ago, Lavard and Ramon joined the virtuous Revital, closing a homogeneous and successful partnership that has already toured several countries around the world.

Revital Hachamoff is a renowned Israeli pianist acclaimed by both the public and critics for her performances and technical mastery. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician on several continents, collaborating with prominent orchestras, such as the Israel Philharmonic and the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta and Valeriy Gergiev. Additionally, she has been featured in international festivals and recordings of hers, such as Edward Elgar’s Violin Sonata with Maxim Vengerov, have received recognition from Gramophone magazine.
Ramon Jaffe is a cellist, born in Latvia, with a career marked by a rich cultural diversity that began in Riga, and developed over years of training in Jerusalem, with improvement in Germany. He studied with masters such as Don Jaffé, Sandor Végh, David Geringas and Daniel Schafran, winning awards and recognition in competitions. His solo career took him to prestigious concert halls in Europe. He has also collaborated with artists from different genres, including flamenco guitarist Pedro Bacan and jazz singer Bobby McFerrin. He has released several albums, including the first recording of B. Blacher’s Cello Concerto. He is founder and artistic director of the Hopfgarten / Tirol Chamber Music Festival.
Lavard Skou Larsen is a renowned Brazilian violinist and conductor. Following his violin studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg under the tutelage of professors Helmut Zehetmair and Sandor Végh, he founded the Salzburg Chamber Soloists in 1991. His conducting and soloist work has led him to collaborate with orchestras around the world. , including Sinfonietta Amsterdam, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra and Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira, among others. Furthermore, he was principal conductor of the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein, from 2004 to 2017, and of the Georgisches Kammerorchester Ingolstadt, from 2012 to 2014. Since 2004, he has also taught his violin masterclass at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and in 2015 he was appointed director artistic performance of the Resonance chamber music concert series in Le Havre, France.
