Mindse7 C&A invited Gabriella Garcia to create a collection based on the series “This dream might fade away”, produced by the artist. Abstract prints, tower silhouettes, strapless, off-the-shoulder, transparency and oversized shirts were developed from fragments taken from paintings from the Renaissance era, composing a more fluid and uncompromising collection.
Present in the collection, a stack of classic columns seems to balance each other. Through the embroidery technique, they float on the pieces as in their metaphysical paintings. The spine, as well as balance, are symbols very present in Gabriella’s work – which, based on its developments within her production, questions its meanings, the value of matter and its history.
In this way, the pieces were designed for different bodies and the collab was built together with the fashion perception of Gabriella and the Mindse7 style team, contemplating a pictorial and fluid field through an abstract construction of a chromatic, conceptual and aesthetic poetics
The collection uses satin, tricoline, tulle and jeans. The satin is heavy and the perfect base to portray the artist’s work. In addition to bringing the main trends, the brand aims to present a unique product, co-created with artists who are a source of inspiration – Mindse7 C&A has already collaborated with names such as the duo AnaVitória and the artist Lorena Moreira.
