A guitar autographed by country singer Leonardo was the highlight of the Genética Reconquista auction, by Agropecuária Reconquista, by José Paulo Dornelles Cairoli, from Alegrete (RS), which took place this Saturday (23/09). The musical instrument was sold for R$20,000 by creator Paulo de Castro Marques, from Casa Branca Agropastoril, in Silvianópolis (MG), and then negotiated for the same amount to Caio Rocha and Ibaneis Rocha, from the Federal District. The total value of the donations was R$65,000 and will be passed on to the Union of Councilors of Brazil for the victims of the floods in Encantado, Muçum and Roca Sales.
Solidarity action
The initiative included the participation of friends and ranchers who were aware of the situation of families who lost their homes and belongings due to the heavy rains that hit the region in July. Auctioneer Fábio Crespo, from Parceria Leilões, said that participating in this action was a gift because it allowed him to donate more than resources. “Today we deliver our work and all our affection to these people,” he said. He recalled that the project was coordinated by journalist Paulo Sérgio Pinto, the president of Uniodonto and enchanted Irno Pretto and his daughters Andreia and Clarissa.
Clear track
In addition to solidarity, the auction also showed the strength of Brazilian agriculture and the quality of Reconquista genetics. With a clean track, the shot averaged R$12,000 for Angus and Brangus bulls. Creator José Paulo Dornelles Cairoli highlighted the high spirits of the event and the engagement of the entire Rio Grande do Sul and all of Brazil to help the affected communities. “It was an incredible auction, which filled us with pride and gratitude,” he said.
