Nursing professionals who work in Parobé will have a reason to celebrate. The Chamber of Councilors approved, on Tuesday night (19), a bill that authorizes the Executive Branch to transfer resources from the federal government to supplement the remuneration of nurses, nursing technicians and assistants. With this, they will be able to receive, until December, the national minimum for the category, which is R$7,315.00 for nurses, R$3,657.50 for technicians and R$1,814.00 for assistants.
Resources from the National Health Fund
Bill 049/23 was sent by Mayor Diego Picucha (PDT) and provides that resources will be sent to the municipality by the Federal Government, through the National Health Fund. The fund is responsible for financing public health actions and services in the country and was created by Complementary Law No. 141, of January 13, 2012. According to the project, the municipality is authorized to make retroactive payments to May for professionals who were paid below the minimum wage.
Recognition for frontline professionals
The president of the Chamber, Betinho (PDT), celebrates the approval of the project and reaffirms his commitment to public health. “We worked hard to approve this matter. These professionals are the front line of our health and are in direct contact with the community, deserving this recognition from the Legislature. We hope that the Union will continue to guarantee full payment from next year onwards”, he notes. The text was unanimously approved by parliamentarians.
Benefit also for São Francisco de Assis Hospital
In addition to covering professionals hired directly by the municipality, the project also authorizes the transfer of part of the value to the Associação Beneficente de Parobé, manager of Hospital São Francisco de Assis. The hospital is a reference in the region and provides services to the municipal administration. With the transfer, hospital employees who work through the Unified Health System (SUS) will also be able to receive salary supplements.
