Farroupilha Month, which celebrates the culture and history of Rio Grande do Sul, is in its second half. But there is still time to enjoy the attractions that Gravataí Shopping Center has prepared to honor this special date. This Wednesday (20), at 7pm, the public will be able to watch the performance of the Musical group CTG Laço de Embira, which will bring a repertoire of traditional Gaucho songs. The event is free and takes place in the mall’s food court.
Themed decoration and artistic winter displays
Throughout the month of September, the Gravataí Shopping Center was decorated with the colors of the Rio Grande do Sul flag and hosted artistic winter presentations from several CTGs in the region. The invernadas are dance groups that represent the traditions and customs of the Gaucho people, with typical costumes and elaborate choreography. Anyone who passes by the mall can appreciate these beautiful cultural manifestations and be inspired by the pride of being a gaucho.
Solidarity action to help those affected by the floods
In addition to celebrating Farroupilha Month, Gravataí Shopping Center is also engaged in a solidarity action to help families affected by floods in Vale do Taquari. The shopping center became one of the collection points for donations of non-perishable food, drinking water, diapers and coats, hygiene and cleaning products, as well as mattresses and pillows. Donations can be delivered directly to the mall’s information desk, located in front of the Americanas store. The items collected are being delivered by the Anjos do Asfalto team, a metropolitan rescue association that travels to Vale do Taquari and assists families with their main needs.
The Gravataí Shopping Center is located at Avenida Dorival Cândido Luz de Oliveira, 135, in the center of Gravataí. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 10pm, and on Sundays and holidays, from 2pm to 8pm.
