Anvisa, the National Health Surveillance Agency, announced a serious case of poisoning from cleaning products, which was associated with the incorrect use of products based on quaternary ammonium, biguanide and 1% hypochlorite.
The intoxicated workers had skin and eye irritation, burning in the nose, headache, as well as redness of the skin and injuries related to itching. See what the statement says:
“In addition to strictly respecting the manufacturer’s instructions regarding the conditions of use of sanitizers, it is essential to avoid undue mixtures and/or interactions of different chemical products when cleaning and disinfecting hospital environments”, stated Anvisa in a note.
It is worth mentioning that many foods, such as Ades juice, also had their sale cancelled. In March 2013, the “acritica” portal reported that the National Health Surveillance Agency, Anvisa, banned, at the time, the sale, manufacture, distribution and commercialization of Ades juice, in a decision published in the Official Gazette of the Union.
How do you know if a product is banned by the institution?
Anvisa is the highest regulatory and inspection body for goods, food and services. The service offers the public data on registered products in the areas covered by Health Surveillance.
The body is responsible for creating standards and regulations and providing support for all activities in the area in the country, as well as carrying out health control and inspection activities at ports, airports and borders.
