The Orquestra Jovem and Ballet Projari will hold a free educational community concert open to the public on Thursday (21/9), in Guaíba. The concert takes place at 3pm, at the Projari headquarters (Av. João Salazar, 250), with a diverse repertoire. The program includes songs by Gonzaguinha, Dorival Caymmi, Pirates of the Caribbean Theme – The Piano Guys Version, Marinheiro Só/Peixinhos do Mar, among others.
On this occasion, the children who participate in the music and ballet workshops present their development throughout the project, which aims to promote social inclusion and foster artistic and socializing experiences.
Throughout the show, there will be comments from instructors, with information about the instruments and works.
“The Didactic Concert aims to demystify the universe of music and expand musical education, bringing children and teenagers closer to this environment”, comments Sandro Souza, teacher and general coordinator of the project.
Projari Youth Orchestra and Ballet Project
The Projari Youth Orchestra and Ballet Project began its activities in March 2013. Formed by children and teenagers from the Guaíba community, the project provides moments of socialization and exchange of experiences through musical practice, aiming to develop sensitivity, aesthetic reflection and improvement of human relations.
With the aim of promoting social inclusion, the project encourages artistic and socializing experiences, in order to offer art as a means of developing self-esteem, cognitive skills, cultural insertion and citizenship. The activities are free and serve 150 children and teenagers in musicalization, ballet, percussion, violin, viola, cello and orchestra practice workshops.
