Vans presents the new Zahba Mid silhouette by Beatrice Domond, a Vans skateboarder known for combining flow and style. When she’s not skateboarding, the North American expresses her identity through fashion.
Originally from Miami, but residing in New York, the skateboarder gained recognition as a child when she sent videos of her skateboarding sessions to filmmaker and skateboarder William Strobeck, who connected her with Jason Dill from the “F**king Awesome” brand. In 2014, Domond participated in the iconic Supreme video part “Cherry” and also in the “Candyland” video directed by Strobeck.
Fall
The creative inspirations for the new Zahba Mid by Beatrice came from her appreciation for the autumn that covers the streets of the Big Apple, as during this season the leaves on the trees transform and acquire a green and golden tone. The new Vans Skateboarding model features a suede upper with the skater’s name on the heel and tongue of the shoe, as well as black details on the Sidestripe. The Style 53 also complements the collection in the Dark Olive colorway.
Impact cushioning
The Vans Zahba Mid by Beatrice Domond is constructed with ImpactWaffle technology, a combination of dual-layer impact cushioning of Vans VR3Cush foam and SickStick rubber compound, providing greater session boardfeel, durability and impact protection.
Finally, Duracap reinforces the areas of greatest contact, ensuring greater resistance and durability for the shoe. Committed to reducing its impact on planet Earth for generations to come, Vans reinforces its commitment to sustainability through the Vans VR3 initiative, which follows strict raw material guidelines for the sneakers’ main components and is designed for a footprint of reduced carbon compared to Vans canvas models.
Clothing
The collection is completed by clothing and accessory options that also reinforce the skater’s personal inspirations. The white short-sleeved t-shirt has a Vans logo application on the front, while the long-sleeved t-shirt features green and white stripes.
The jacket and pants made of cotton are options for cooler days and combine with the black hat and white cap. The creativity and possibility for creating countless styles like Beatrice’s sessions are in the smallest details, including the socks and tote bag that conclude the launch.
