Porto Alegre, September 2023 – The heavy rains that hit Rio Grande do Sul last week caused damage in several cities in the state. To support people who were affected by the floods, the Iguatemi SA shopping malls in RS came together in a solidarity action.
Parked, Donated
This Thursday (14/09), Iguatemi Porto Alegre and Praia de Belas Shopping will hold a special edition of “Estacionado, Donado”, one of the group’s main social actions. On this day, all proceeds from parking between 10am and 10pm at both projects will go towards recovery work in regions affected by the floods.
Collection points
In addition, all enterprises in the state network are also collection points to receive donations. Anyone who wants to collaborate can take hygiene and cleaning products, clothes, coats, shoes, blankets and non-perishable food to Iguatemi Porto Alegre and Praia de Belas, in the state capital, and also to I Fashion Outlet, in Novo Hamburgo. Donations will be passed on to institutions that are engaged in helping victims of disasters caused by rain.

Customers who deliver their donations to shopping malls in Porto Alegre will benefit from free parking between the 15th and 30th of September. It is a way of encouraging the population’s participation in this chain of solidarity.
