Sapiranga is part of the 30th Traditionalist Region and has four active Gaucho Traditions Centers (CTGs): Pedro Serrano, Desgarrados da Querência, Galpão Sentinela do Pago and Estância do Ferrabraz.
In this year’s Farroupilha Camp, the four entities installed their sheds close to the stage where the presentations take place. Meals are served on site, drinks are sold and workshops for schools are also held. Artistic winters are also part of the program. The objective is to bring the routine of the CTGs closer to the community, which is of fraternization and cultural incentive.
The highlight goes to the meals sold during the camp, which attract many visitors to the Parque do Imigrante. The menus vary: there is barbecue, carreteiro de beef jerky, cow swamped and other typical dishes. It also has space for pasta, salads and snacks. All prepared by members of the CTGs, prices vary between R$25.00 and R$35.00.
