Casa Baka and Circuito Orelhas brings to Porto Alegre for the first time the multi-instrumentalist and producer from Rio de Janeiro, Frederico Heliodoro. He will perform on Saturday, August 12, at 9 pm, at Casa Baka (Rua da República, 139, Cidade Baixa).
After having participated in a world tour with Milton Nascimento and musically directing singer Simone’s 50-year career tour, Frederico Heliodoro is now promoting his latest album, entitled “The Weight of the News – Minaret Records / Mocloud 2023”.
In this unprecedented show, Frederico will perform in voice and guitar format. The first leg of the album’s release tour took place in the United States in January, passing through several cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, New York City, Boston and Philadelphia. The artist points out that the experience of performing solo, with only voice and guitar, was enriching and allowed for unexpected and spontaneous moments on stage, which connected him in a special way with his art and craft.
Frederico Heliodoro’s sixth authorial album, “The Weight of the News”, was released by the Minaret Records label in Los Angeles, California, and has 11 new songs. The album features the participation of several talented musicians, forming a true team of “all stars”. Among them are Louis Cole, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Aaron Parks, Olivia Trummer, Chris Fishman, David Binney, Seamus Blake, Pedro Martins, Antonio Loureiro, Felipe Continentino, Thiago “Big” Rabello, and Genevieve Artadi, the latter present exclusively in the Japanese edition, released in February 2023 by the Mocloud label.
