Design is one of the most creative and innovative ways of expressing a city’s culture, art, architecture and urbanism. And São Paulo is one of the biggest design centers in the world, which annually receives the DW! Sao Paulo Design Weekthe biggest festival of its kind in Latin America and one of the most important on the planet.
A season of launches and activations
In 2024, the festival reaches its 13th edition with many new features. The first is the date: the event will take place on March 14th to 24th, coinciding with some of the most relevant events and fairs in the design and architecture sector. The idea is to promote a season of brand launches during DW!, betting on the integration of the sector’s calendar. This makes possible more consistent activations with the public and structures the market even more.
Another novelty is the format of the festival, which will have 11 dias duration, including Preview Days, on March 14 and 15. These days will be dedicated exclusively to the press and influencers, who will be able to check out the news, the year’s big releases and some exhibitions and actions by the big brands in advance and curated. “It’s a way of delivering the best of what the festival brings together to opinion makers”, summarizes Lauro Andrade, founder of DW! Sao Paulo Design Week.
A festival for everyone
The DW schedules! São Paulo Design Week will, as always, be aimed at all audiences – from those passionate about design to professionals in architecture, decoration, interior design, engineers, builders, brands, curators and artists from the most diverse areas.
The DW! is an urban festival that, for more than a decade, has aimed to promote the culture of design and its connections with architecture, art, decoration, urbanism, social inclusion, business, technological innovation and other themes of the creative economy. All of this has its place and voice during the event, which brings together exhibitions, lectures, workshops, installations, interventions and other activities in various locations in the city.
In addition, the event carries out several actions that accompany the annual calendar of the sector in Brazil and around the world, bringing inspiration and relevant information about everything that happens in the universe of design to the community.
