The job market for IT (information technology) is one of the most promising and lacking in qualified professionals in Brazil. According to the Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies (Brasscom), by 2024, there will be a demand for almost 420,000 professionals in the field. For those who live in São Leopoldo, in Rio Grande do Sul, this could be a golden opportunity to train and enter this sector.
3 mil Talentos TI program offers free programming courses
The city of São Leopoldo, in partnership with Senac and other institutions, launched the 3 thousand Talents IT Program, which aims to train three thousand young people in programming until 2024, the year of the Bicentennial of German immigration. The program is divided into cycles, each with two steps: a basic one and an advanced one.
The fifth and final cycle of the program in 2023 is open for applications until Tuesday, July 25th. To participate, you must be between 15 and 39 years old, live in São Leopoldo and be attending at least the 9th grade of Elementary School. Entries can be made by the site www.senacrs.com.br/3000talentosti.
240 grants will be made available in the first stage, which consists of a basic course in programming logic. Of this total, 40 vacancies are exclusive to students from the municipal education network, indicated by the Municipal Secretary of Education (Smed). The remaining candidates will be selected in order of application.
In the second stage, the top 180 classified in the first stage of the fifth cycle and those who graduated from previous cycles will be able to take an advanced programming course in a specific area, such as web development, mobile or games. Selection will be based on a knowledge test.
The Secretary for Economic, Tourism and Technological Development – Sedettec, Juliano Maciel, highlighted the importance of the program for the city. “We invite the entire community of São Leopoldo to take advantage of the chance to enter a highly attractive job market, through the training trails of 3000 Talentos TI. Project 100% funded by the City Hall, executed by Senac. Let’s go together!”, he declared.
The 3 thousand Talents IT Program is part of the Tecnosinos Governance, which is shared between the São Leopoldo City Hall, Unisinos, ACIST-SL and the São Leopoldo IT Center. The next cycle of the program will be launched in the first months of 2024.
