In Umuarama, northwest region of Paraná, an unusual fact was recorded on the night of this Monday (7/17). A man presumed dead was found alive as his body was being prepared for the wake.
The 57-year-old man, whose identity has not been revealed, was taken to a city hospital. Hours after entering the health unit, he was declared dead by the medical team and taken to a funeral home in the municipality.
While the body was prepared for the wake, the man showed vital signs. Amazed by the situation, the funeral service team called a rescue team from the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu), which provided care and found that he was alive.
After receiving primary care from Samu, the man was again referred to the hospital located in the central region of Umuarama. A video shows the moment the man arrives at the hospital.
In a note, Nossa Senhora Aparecida Hospital reported that it opened an investigation to determine what happened. He also said that the professionals involved were removed and that he sympathizes with the family members. See the note in full:
