Artificial intelligence drives strategic expansion
Vero Internet, a telecommunications company present in five Brazilian states, is revolutionizing its expansion process with the aid of artificial intelligence. In order to map and identify growth opportunities, the company developed an innovative tool that uses machine learning to select new cities for the business. In June, the city of Cachoeirinha (RS) was the first to receive this pioneering release.
Increased agility and accuracy in decision-making
Vero Internet’s intelligent expansion is driven by a platform called “Crystal Ball” (crystal ball in Portuguese), which uses technical indicators and lessons learned from previous projects to correlate data and identify opportunities for growth in areas similar to those the company obtained success. With pre-established criteria and indicators, the platform segments opportunities into groups with different probabilities of success. In addition to automating and accelerating the expansion process, the idea is to use learning to boost the company’s organic growth.
Trend on the rise in the corporate world
The use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to assist in decision-making is becoming an increasingly strong trend in the corporate world. According to a study by the McKinsey consultancy, by 2030, around 70% of companies should adopt some initiative related to this technology, which could generate an increase of 13 trillion dollars in the world economy. Gartner consultancy also points out that 25% of professionals already use these platforms daily in their routines.
Simplified organic expansion and meaningful results
For Vero Internet, which has been expanding to a new city every month since its foundation, this initiative makes the process of organic expansion to new municipalities simpler and with relevant results for the business. According to José Rocha, Director of Sales, Operations and Marketing at Vero Internet, having a system capable of evaluating cities with aggregator potential for the company, which have synergy with its services and can bring good results, is extremely strategic.
Continued growth and national reach
With the launch in Cachoeirinha, Vero Internet reaches its milestone of 50 cities launched organically from the expansion of its network. Now, the city will have the fixed broadband connection and premium digital services offered by the company. In total, Vero operates in 205 municipalities, with more than 800,000 subscribers across the country.
