Opening ceremony
Robopel-211, an event dedicated to bringing students and robotics together in an interactive and accessible way, will have its official opening this Thursday (06), at 3 pm, in the auditorium of Pelotas Parque Tecnológico. The ceremony will be attended by the mayor Paula Mascarenhas, students, school directors, guests and the participation of the Band of students from IMDAZ – Instituto de Menores Dom Antônio Zattera. On the occasion, robotics kits will also be delivered to the students and there will be a tribute to the city’s anniversary, celebrated on July 7th.
hybrid offices
Just like last year, Robopel-211 will have a hybrid format with face-to-face and online workshops. The face-to-face activities will take place on the 6th and 7th of July with a total of 31 workshops for previously registered students. Students from primary and secondary schools will participate in the morning and afternoon shifts. At night, it will be the turn of the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) students to learn about robotics.
As of July 10th, the workshops will be available to everyone on YouTube at Pelotas Parque Tecnológico (with eight more exclusively virtual. Among the themes of this year’s workshops are creative computing, origami, maker technology, recycling, internet security , games, finance, industry 4.0, etc. The complete schedule is being posted on Pelotas Parque Tecnológico’s Instagram (@pelotasparquetecnologico).

Robopel-211 is part of Inovapel 2023: Open innovation and digital interaction at the center of the strategy and is a realization of Pelotas Parque Tecnológico and Pelotas City Hall, coordinated by Escola Sesi Pelotas, Reverso Comunicação Integrada, ELIMU Social, NTE – Núcleo of Educational Technology of Pelotas/5ª CRE (Education Coordination of the State of Rio Grande do Sul), CRIE/UFPel and CETEP – Educational Technological Center of Pelotas/SMED – Municipal Secretary of Education.
The event has the institutional support of the Chamber of Councilors of Pelotas – TV Câmara, in addition to the support of Sebrae, SENAC, AZONASUL, Copes – Consórcio Extremo Sul, Co.Place Coworking, Sicredi, Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense and SEPRORGS. About Pelotas Technological Park
The Park was officially created in 2016 and is managed by TECNOSUL – Parque Científico e Tecnológico, a non-profit civil association of private law, scientific, technological, educational and cultural. It has a Board of Directors (Consad), elected every three years, and operates in three major areas in which the municipality already stands out as a hub: information and communication technology; health technology and creative industry.
Currently, 63 companies operate in the Pelotas Technological Park, 23 of which are installed in the areas managed by the Park, seven in coworking, 15 incubated, 18 pre-incubated. Among the incubators are Conectar, UFPel’s Technology-Based Incubator; CIEMSUL, UCPel and SENATEC’s multisectoral business incubator, aimed at junior companies. Still, there are 23 partner institutions.
The Park offers a coworking space, with a dining area for 55 people, an auditorium for 230 people, two meeting and training rooms and parking for 65 cars. Altogether, Pelotas Parque generates 267 direct and 638 indirect jobs.
