Starting this Friday (06/30), the Parque da Festa da Uva Events Center will host the 7th edition of Mãos da Terra – Culture and Crafts Fair, which brings together local art, culture and talent from 11 countries and six Brazilian states. The fair, which runs until July 9th, will have a varied program on stage, with music, dance, capoeira and theater performances.
Among the attractions are the Coro São Brás of Italian music, the Brass Group of the Orquestra Municipal de Sopros, the Night of the Brewers with the bands Hot Pant and Peter 27, the dance group Essência Cigana and Mixto, the Coral da Maturidade Ativa do SESC, Cirandeiras Danças Brasileiras, Capoeira Herdeiros de Palmares Group, Cia Municipal de Dança, Rakaça – Templo de Danças, Filó das Embaixatrizes da Festa da Uva with Girotondo Group, the Meeting of Vintage Cars and the Festival of Forqueta Dances.
In addition to the shows, the fair will feature the Caxiense Artisan Exhibition, with 127 local artisans; the Garage Sale with antiques and collectors; the exhibition of orchids with display and commercialization of flowers; the playground with inflatable toys for children; and Espaço Mérica, with an exhibition and sale of typical Italian handicrafts by artists Ricardo Caumo and Ivalino Postal.
Mãos da Terra is organized by MR Consultoria e Eventos in partnership with the City Hall of Caxias do Sul. The fair can be visited from 2 pm to 9 pm. Entry will be R$ 8. Children under 12 and people over 60 do not pay.
