Current management slate is approved for CREMERS election

The slate that represents the current management of the Regional Council of Medicine of Rio Grande do Sul (CREMERS) had its registration approved for the election of the entity and will run as slate 1. This is the first slate qualified for the dispute, which will be held in a fully digital on the 14th and 15th of August.

The application was named after “CREMERS de Todos” and has the participation of renowned physicians from the capital and interior, including the president of the entity, Carlos Sparta, the president of the Medical Association of RS, Gerson Junqueira Jr., the former secretary of health of Porto Alegre, Mauro Sparta, the president of the World Stroke Organization, Sheila Martins, and the dean of innovation at UFRGS, Geraldo Jotz (full list below).

Carlos Sparta points out that, since the group took over the entity two years ago, several significant changes have been carried out together with the doctors, aiming to value the medical activity and the dignity of the professionals. “Today, the entity is closer to its colleagues, more efficient and active in the main topics of interest to medicine. And these transformations cannot stop, ”he adds.

According to Sparta, among the transformations promoted are the creation of a nucleus to combat the illegal practice of medicine by professionals from other areas, the implementation and improvement of the digital prescription, the implementation of educational supervision, the creation of the “itinerant CREMERS” program and investment in education, through various training courses.

Gerson Junqueira Jr. points out that the entity currently dialogues and works together with other institutions in favor of doctors and medicine. “Doors and minds have been opened, and that makes all the difference. CREMERS is no longer an entity that only charges annuities and intimates professionals. Now, it has become a partner council for physicians, offering guidance, support and defense of good medical practice”, emphasizes Junqueira Jr.

Among the priorities, the group proposes to continue combating the illegal practice of medicine, defending and valuing professionals, promoting continuing medical education, implementing career plans, combating the indiscriminate creation of medical schools and supervising them, offering courses for newly qualified doctors. graduates, creating a benefit club and seeking medical recognition, among other actions.

“CREMERS belongs to everyone, doctors and society in Rio Grande do Sul. Therefore, we set up a plural and representative group. We are going to spin the State, listen to everyone and change even more”, emphasizes Mauro Sparta.
