On May 27th, Saturday, starting at 7:30 pm, the Orquestra Jovem Recanto Maestro will perform at Palco Bell’Anima, an amphitheater located between the municipalities of Restinga Seca and São João do Polêsine.
At this event, they will perform a repertoire of compositions by Vitor Ramil, which were arranged by Vagner Cunha, conducted by Antonio Borges-Cunha. A special participation by Vitor Ramil will also occur during the presentation.
Tickets for the event cost R$50 for half-price tickets and R$100 for full tickets. It is possible to purchase tickets in advance through the Sympla platform or, on the day of the event, on site.
The Orquestra Jovem Recanto Maestro (OJRM) was founded in 2015 by Associação Ontoarte, with the aim of offering free music education for children and young people from the fourth colony of Italian immigration, which covers São João do Polêsine, Agudo, Restinga Sêca, Dona Francisca, Candelária, Paraíso do Sul and Santa Maria.
The orchestra is composed of string instruments (violin, viola, cello and double bass), wind instruments (trombone, trumpet, oboe) and percussion. Over the last seven years, the group has perfected its technique with the guidance of professors from Venezuela, France, Bolivia and the United States. OJRM has already shared the Bell’Anima Stage with artists such as Toquinho, Anaadi, Os Fagundes and Los Orientales.
The connection between OJRM and Vitor Ramil is Vagner Cunha, who, in addition to being the orchestra’s musical director, has already produced several arrangements for the composer from Pelotas. An example of this is the album “Campos Neutrais”, whose homonymous track was nominated for the 2018 Latin Grammy in the Best Arrangement category.
