The Fundação de Cultura e Arte – Proarte de Carlos Barbosa, opened registration for groups interested in contributing to the decoration of the streets for the Corpus Christi procession, scheduled to take place on June 8th.
The traditional event of colored sawdust carpets will follow the path already covered in 2022, leaving the Igreja Matriz along the Calçadão, following through the streets Rio Branco, Maurício Cardoso and Assis Brasil, and returning to the church through Rua Elisa Tramontina (Calçadão).
Participation in decorating the rugs is voluntary and open to the community, and groups linked to chapels, entities, schools, companies, families and friends can sign up. In addition to the colored sawdust distributed at the event, Proarte offers the design to be reproduced, which can be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis. Decoration starts in the morning, as the procession takes place in the afternoon.
Group registrations must be carried out at Proarte’s headquarters, located at Rua Andrea Pontin, 190, 4th floor (with access through the alley next to the Baseggio supermarket). For more information, interested parties can contact us by phone (54) 3433-2181.
