Green is back in autumn 2023 with great prominence, following the trend that emerged in 2020 and continued last year. Investing in more intense tones for this season is a great choice, and green is definitely a color that has everything to do with the season.
Although it is a striking color, green remains present in the collections of different brands year after year, as it is super timeless. In addition, clothes in this tone bring an air of elegance and sophistication to the look. To help invest in green, the creative style coordinator for the Santa Catarina fashion brand Dimy, Ronaldo Vinícius, shares some tips.
“Green was a big bet for Dimy this season, it was present in international fashion shows for brands such as Philosophy di Lorenzo, Ulla Johnson and Gucci. Several labels worked on the use of this color with overlays in analogous tones, which are green from the same range, but in separate tones, pulling the same coloring vibration. In the case of Dimy, in our last launch we bet on asparagus green, kiwi green, avocado green and petroleum green. These are colors that represent a great commitment from international labels”, he explains.
prints
“Always very versatile, the prints will never leave fashionistas’ closets. Some that have appeared very frequently this season are the pied-de-poule and the classic plaid. Elegant and timeless, chess can be naturally incorporated into your everyday productions and surprise in pieces that go beyond the basics. For autumn, this print gains a current and modern reinterpretation, allowing for countless combinations.”
Monochrome
“A monochrome look works well for any color, but especially with green, a whole look in this shade is super bold and modern. You can opt for a varied mix of shades, such as a lighter piece with a darker one, or an all green look in just one tone, which looks very beautiful.”
Leather
“Everything to do with the cold, which starts to arrive little by little during this season, leather is capable of refining any production. He appears very strongly in pants, skirts and jackets. When we think of shades of green for leather pieces, asparagus green and avocado green are always right choices. A good tip is to mix basic pieces and throw a heavier leather item on top, it’s super cool.”
tailoring
“One of the big bets for autumn 23. Tailoring is always present in our collections, but now it arrives all in kiwi green, highlighting any production. The tip for investing in this modeling in green tones is to mix it with neutral bases, such as blouses, pants and shoes in colors such as black, white and beige.”
