Praça Rio Grande Shopping will celebrate International Dance Day with the ‘Baile dos Avós’ and the exhibition ‘Artistic Interventions in Dance’ this Friday (28).
The ‘Baile dos Avós’, Praça’s traditional monthly ball, reopens the dance floor from 2 pm to 5 pm. The Enredo do Samba group will lead the show for the elderly and all customers who want to enjoy the afternoon with lots of music and fun.
Dance Artistic Interventions
After the ‘Baile dos Avós’, at 5:30 pm, the exhibition ‘Artistic Interventions in Dance’ will enchant the public with a lot of art aimed at all ages and rhythms.
The show will bring together students from schools in the municipal network and participants from groups dedicated to art in the city, such as the Centro Municipal de Recreação e Lazer Ney Amado Costa, which performs a beautiful work of dance dedicated to the elderly, and the group Unidos da Rheingantz, which seeks to revitalize the carnival parades in Rio Grande.
Dance in schools will be represented by EMEF França Pinto and EMEF Wanda Rocha, participants of the ‘Festival Dança Estudantes’, an event developed by the Municipal Secretary of Education (SMED) and held for the first time in 2017, at Praça Shopping. Dancers from Kimbra Cia de Dança will also participate in the show, whose classes are held in a space provided by the mall.
