Caxias do Sul will host the 7th Mãos da Terra – Culture and Crafts Fair from June 30th to July 9th, at the Parque Mário Bernardino Ramos Events Center.
The event is promoted by MR Consultoria e Eventos, in partnership with the Caxias City Hall, and has the theme “A Tour of the World in Ten Days”.
The fair was held for six consecutive years until 2014, bringing together an audience of more than 500,000 people. This year is the seventh edition of the fair with the participation, already confirmed, of seven countries. Mãos da Terra mixes art, culture and talent in the most varied forms of handicraft, allowing cultural exchange between artisans from all over Brazil and the world. The public will have the opportunity to know, interact and buy products from different cultures.
According to the promoter of Mãos da Terra, Marcus Romera, there are negotiations with the Secretariat of Culture for the holding of the Caxiense Artisan Exhibition together with Mãos da Terra, as happened in all previous editions, bringing together more than 100 artisans from the city. “The participation of local craftsmen is very important, to show and sell their products and publicize the city”, he evaluates.
Romera also informs that there will be different attractions in this edition, in partnership with the Festa da Uva Commission, which will be announced soon.
In the ten days, Mãos da Terra can be visited from 2 pm to 9 pm. Entry will be R$ 8. Children under 12 and people over 60 do not pay.
