A 14-year-old teenager had a cardiac arrest and died during a soccer lesson at Colégio do Sol, in the Setor de Mansões do Lago Norte, in Brasília. The teachers even called the Federal District Military Fire Department, which carried out the rescue, but the teenager could not resist.
Witnesses told the military that, during class activities, the boy would have presented sudden malaise and passed out. The teachers began resuscitation maneuvers while waiting for the Fire Department.
At the scene, the military used a defibrillation equipment (shock) twice to try to recover the boy’s heartbeat, in addition to resuscitation maneuvers.
The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) also attended the scene and intubated the student, who remained unconscious. After 46 minutes of procedure, the boy’s heartbeat was not restored, and death was confirmed. The case occurred on the night of this Thursday (13).
The Civil Police of the DF was called, and the case is being investigated by the 9th Civil Police Station, in Lago Norte. According to the corporation, because it involves a teenager, the investigations of the case are being carried out in secrecy.
