Canoas started this Wednesday (12) the attendance of the Castramobile in the Unified Arts and Sports Center Square (CEU), in the Rio Branco neighborhood. The vehicle of the Municipal Department of Animal Welfare (Smbea) it will be available from Tuesday to Friday, from 9am to 2pm, until May 30th.
Registration for animal sterilizations is carried out on site, interested persons must have proof of residence and have their family registered in CadÚnico. The tutor leaves with the procedure scheduled. The service is also aimed at stray animals.
Smbea’s secretary, Fabiane Borba, points out that the goal of Castramóvel is to carry out as many castrations as possible in each region that passes through. “Sterilization is very important because it benefits both the animals and the general population, as it reduces the number of unwanted litters and the proliferation of zoonoses, contributing to public health”.
Veterinary consultations for animals in the region will also take place, but only on Tuesday mornings.
