Passo Fundo Shopping once again showed the importance of solidarity by collaborating with the work of the NGO Anjos de Luz. During the Easter Egg Hunt action, the shopping center collected 400 kg of food, which were donated to the charity that serves low-income people. The Easter activities were aimed at children, who learned early on the importance of helping others by donating food to participate in the games.
A NGO Angels of Light carries out important work in Passo Fundo, helping vulnerable families in the neighborhoods of Santa Marta, Vila Donária, Jardim América and Morada do Sol. According to the NGO’s Coordinator, Mateus Menegotto, the action is mainly focused on collecting food. In addition, the NGO offers workshops for mothers, such as sewing and baking, and tutoring for children.
“The mall action had a very good impact. Through this initiative, we will sort the food to be able to pass it on to more than 80 families that we serve”, he explains, who has been working at the NGO for over 10 years along with his mother, Nedi Menegotto, responsible for starting this story.
The Marketing Manager of Passo Fundo Shopping, Danielle Batezini, points out that the collection was only possible thanks to all the people who embraced this idea. “Our main purpose is to make a positive social impact, either by investing in the city or supporting institutions that do such beautiful work as Anjos de Luz. We thank everyone who donated and made this action so big that it will help many families ”, she concludes.
