To make the world a better place, you need to take an active role in society. With this objective in mind, Parceiros Voluntários (PV), in partnership with Sebrae RS, offers students and educators from the 8th year of Elementary School to the 3rd year of High School the methodology Tribos Jovem Empreendedores. Started in 2021, the initiative promotes values such as self-knowledge, purpose, social entrepreneurship and youth leadership.
Through the Entrepreneurial Education program, the project seeks to develop entrepreneurial skills over three years through online meetings on socio-emotional skills, leadership and social practice. This year marks the conclusion of the cycle, which was carefully planned for the development of the methodology to occur in a progressive and complementary way over three years (2021-2023).
If in 2022 the experiences focused on innovation, in order to stimulate the creativity of the participants, now it will be the turn of Entrepreneurial Techniques, which will encourage ethical and responsible thinking, learning from experience, vision, basic financial and economic knowledge, planning and management. All this, with a “gamified” methodology, to prove that learning about entrepreneurship and management can be fun. “The idea is, each year, to provide an enriching experience for educators and students, in order to give Tribes the opportunity to contribute to the students’ life project, and at the end of this cycle, to form young protagonists of their communities”, says Daniel Santoro , Chairman of the Board of Directors of PV.
Students who participated in the Young Entrepreneurs Tribes in the first two years already have their place guaranteed in 2023. They will receive a special certificate indicating their participation in this action, which is backed by UNESCO. The training will take place through synchronous activities by the Google Meet and asynchronous with challenges and complementary practical actions, totaling 8 hours for educators and 16 hours for students. The project also includes teachers who have elective courses on entrepreneurship, life projects, the environment or financial education, as Tribos offers resources that can be directly applied in the classroom.
According to Daniel Santoro, this last year, educators will have contact with agile methodologies to involve students in social projects; leadership practices; basic financial and economic knowledge and will also be able to receive a 30-hour certificate, backed by the UNESCO. He continues: — “The experience awakens in these young people a process of empowerment, which goes through paths such as self-knowledge, initiative, creativity, responsibility and social leadership”. For José Filipe Nunes, Advisor of the 12th CRE Guaíba, the project was a success with the young people. “The Tribos program was everything we needed to include young people, to show that education can transform. Tribes brought a perspective of inclusion, empathy, resignification. It’s a pleasure to be part of Tribes […] The way in which the reception is carried out, the organization of the modules, the availability, mainly, of those who help us in this process, makes us believe in a slightly better world”.
Young Entrepreneurs Tribes is carried out by Volunteer Partners Network in partnership with Sebrae RS, with the support of Enter Tech Edu and the State Department of Education, with Unesco seal.
