The 2023 Fish Fair in São Leopoldo started at 9 am this Wednesday (05) and offers a variety of products such as tilapia, sole, hake, grass carp, shrimp, cheeses, wines and handicrafts. The exhibitors are located in the structure of the pyramids in Largo Rui Porto and will be available until 19:00 on April 5th and 6th and from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Good Friday, April 7th.
The Secretary for Economic, Tourism and Technological Development (Sedetec), Juliano Maciel, drew attention to the positive numbers for 2022 and the prospect of surpassing them this year. “Our expectation is that this year the fair will have even better results than in 2022, which was when there was a post-pandemic resumption, where we had an extraordinary sales volume with six tons of fish. So, we hope that this year, with the fair more structured and with more exhibitors, we will be able to have a sales volume and an even greater public presence, valuing our local exhibitors”, he pointed out.
The fair was resumed for the second consecutive year after the Covid-19 pandemic and has the participation of exhibitors from the Solidarity Economy of the municipality and the Healthy Food Fair. More than a dozen exhibitors are present at the event, which also has a food court for those who want to consume products on site.
