This Sunday (2) Esteio presents the traditional staging of the Passion of Christ, at Praça Coração de Maria, in the Center, from 8 pm.
The presentation will open the Easter program in Esteio, carried out by the Municipal Secretary of Culture, Sport and Leisure (SMCEL).
This year, the play that narrates the trial, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus will be in charge of the Máschara theater group, from Cruz Alta, hired by SMCEL.
In the staging, lasting about two hours and subtitled “The mother of the Redeemer”, Mary gains greater prominence, appearing in scenes such as the organization of the Holy Supper and even after the resurrection, reinforcing the image that she had a lot of strength and in not a moment did he abandon his son. Entry is free.
Caravan
On Monday (3), whoever is on the streets and avenues of Esteio will be able to watch the Easter Caravan pass by. Two vehicles decorated with the theme of the date will travel the streets of Esteio taking scenic presentations by the group Luz e Cena.
Dressed as bunnies and bunnies, the actors promise to bring joy, especially to children, wherever they go. They will talk to the little ones and make performance presentations.
At certain points, the actors will make the audience reflect on the origin of Easter and the meaning of the festival, which pays homage to the miracle of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, three days after being crucified.
The action starts at 6 pm, with departures in front of Esteio City Hall (Rua Eng. Hener de Souza Nunes, 150) and heading towards Bairro Três Marias.
Cantata
Closing the activities, on Wednesday (5), the Children’s Choir of Colégio Adventista de Esteio will make a special presentation at Paço Municipal Clodovino Soares, in front of the City Hall.
The Easter Cantata, starting at 7 pm, will have a repertoire that will also reflect on the date, such as Jesus is Alive; He is risen; Winning comes Jesus and Jesus Christ is our Easter, among others. The presentation will also count on the participation of our institution’s theater group.
Admission is free, but the school requests that the public donate a kilo of non-perishable food, which will be destined for people in social vulnerability.
