The first duel of the decision of the Gaucho Championship, between caxias e Guildat 4:30 pm this Saturday (01/04), at the Centenário stadium, in Caxias do Sul, will have consequences for the mobility of the Cinquentenário neighborhood.
Due to the expectation of a large number of fans, the road blocks start in the morning, at 9 am, in a stretch of Rua Thomas Beltrão de Queiroz, between the roundabout on Rua Bento Gonçalves and the interchange with Rua Carlos Bianchini. The other roads around the stadium will be blocked at 12:30 pm. Traffic should be normalized only after 21:00.
Drivers wishing to head towards Caxias do Sul / Farroupilha should travel through Rua Dr. Bozzano, José do Patrocínio and Teixeira Mendes, to Avenida Júlio de Castilhos. From there, the driver can access the ERS-122 through Rua Dr. Antônio Casagrande or continue to Avenida Rubem Bento Alves. In the opposite direction, those coming from the ERS-122 will have to take Cremona, Rosário and Padre Anchieta streets, until Teixeira Mendes Street. There will be a total blockade on Rua Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora.
In case of emergencies, access to the Unimed Hospital must be done through Rua Dom João Batista Scalabrini and Rua Professor Marcos Martini. The Traffic Inspection teams will advise drivers about the blocked roads and the possibilities of detours.
Due to the blockages, impacts are expected on the route of line L86 – Collector Central. As the bus cannot travel along Rua Thomas Beltrão de Queiroz, it will travel along Avenida Júlio de Castilhos to Rua La Salle and, from there, to Rua Bento Gonçalves, resuming its itinerary. Also, for security reasons and at the request of the Military Brigade, the movement of street vendors around the stadium is not authorized. The Municipal Department of Urbanism of Caxias do Sul (SMU), responsible for overseeing this type of trade, will be on site with a team advising on the ban.
