With the theme of health, the Innovation Route arrives at the PUCRS Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc) next Friday, March 31st. The activity is part of the South Summit Brazil program, providing an immersion in the city’s innovation environments. Organized by Pacto Alegre in partnership with the innovation ecosystems of Rio Grande do Sul, the initiative provides experience in spaces that drive entrepreneurship.
“The PUCRS ecosystem is a reference in the health area, with more than 90 laboratories, 100 research groups, 14 stricto sensu postgraduate programs, in addition to numerous institutes and research centers that integrate a living lab for tests and experiments focused on life sciences”, emphasizes Professor Rafael Baptista, head of BioHub, an initiative of PUCRSthrough Tecnopuc, the Brain Institute (InsCer), São Lucas Hospital (HSL) and the University Schools.
More than 30 startups have already applied their solutions through HSL. Of these, nine were implemented as definitive for the hospital. “Hospital São Lucas, present and active in the ecosystem, is a validation field for several innovations that focus on the patient experience, which gains in quality, welcome, excellence and agility throughout the journey at HSL”, comments Izadora Silveira , manager of Funding, Projects and Innovation at hospital san lucas.
On the Innovation Route, participants will also be able to meet HealthPlus, Tecnopuc’s official partner that connects the park’s solutions with companies, startups and investors. “The PUCRS Scientific and Technological Park brings together several relevant players in the healthcare chain, enabling the build-measure-learn cycle, a methodology for rapidly and economically establishing and continuously improving the success of new products, services and ideas, to be even faster compared to a business that is not located inside the Park”, highlights Andréia Nullius, manager of HealthPlus, a health cluster created and managed by GROW+.
During the immersion, participants will be able to learn more about the ecosystem’s differentials, in addition to participating in a Business Fair, where startups and companies will be presenting their solutions.
