The My House Group presents Transmobilização this Saturday (18th), in Porto Alegre. The production is an outdoor scenic intervention that brings together seven urban dance artists.
Together, they remix different styles, such as house dance and hip hop, and install themselves in a circular format involving the audience. The premiere will be on March 18, Saturday, at 5 pm, at the Museum of Hip Hop Culture and will have free admission.
The show envisions a poetic assault on the attention and heart of those passing through the city, challenging the permanent and functional state of streets and public spaces. The idea is to invite those who watch to dance in a natural and irresistible way. Thus, the dancers’ choreographies and the spectators’ steps merge and configure each other, creating new photographs and lines in the urban fabric.
Grupo My House is a dance center in Porto Alegre where anyone can learn to dance. Now, it revives its trajectory of artistic interventions, always with a style of popular reach and language of movements rich in creative mixtures, full of meanings and identifications in everyday life.
Transmobilization opens paths that allow the weight of a present to flow and dissolve, which tends to be opaque and stiffened by the day-to-day life of the metropolises and also by the consequences of the pandemic. The show seeks to encourage the public in Porto Alegre to appreciate urban spaces as centers of art, affection and transformation.
The cast is formed by Marco Aurelio Julio Rodrigues, Gabriela Chultz, Daniela Cezar, Jean Guerra, Jackson Brum, Dennis Oliveira and Arthur Guerra. Financed by Fumproarte from the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Porto Alegre, the project will have five other presentations that will be held in the first half of the year in different locations in the capital.
