The Estância das Crianças Early Childhood Education School, in Nova Estância, in Estância Velha, was selected to participate in the Pedagogical Residence of Obeci, which is a Community of Support for the Professional Development of Early Childhood Education Professionals that is highly regarded throughout the country.
Emei Estância das Crianças was one of twenty selected among more than three hundred public and private schools registered throughout the country. “We are very anxious to enjoy this experience and very happy to have been selected”, celebrates the director of the school Renata Godoy.
The Pedagogical Residence is a free immersion program in the training processes for Early Childhood teachers and coordinators. The registration of the school in Estancia was made by the coordinator Juli de Oliveira who already participated in the program last year with Emei Criança Feliz.
PROGRAM
The program, which is in its third edition, is coordinated by the founder of Obeci, Paulo Fochi, a reference in early childhood education in Brazil and abroad. It aims to contribute to the training and qualification of teachers and pedagogical coordinators of Early Childhood Education.
The residency lasts for one year between March and December 2023. In this stage of the program, the Estância Velha school participates as a listener and monitors the work of the schools that are already part of the Obeci Community.
The coordinator Juli, and the teachers Ana Quintana, Ivone Kanitz, Clarice Jacques and Juliana da Silva will participate representing Emei Estância das Crianças. “It is a very rich experience that we can later share with the other teachers to improve our work with the children even more”, explains the coordinator.
