The University of Caxias do Sul holds the Festival Vem pra UCS on March 5, Sunday, from 3 pm to 10 pm, at the Campus-Sede (Cetel parking lot), in Caxias do Sul. The initiative resumes the tradition of the event that had its first edition in 2016 and has already brought together large audiences in welcoming and integration activities between the Institution, students and community.
This year, the public will be able to check out several musical attractions for free – the main one will be the national reggae band Maskavo, in a show of the “Terra Multicor” tour. The event will also feature the rhythm of the UCS Orquestra in a presentation of the Bossa Nova no RS project, which is part of the UCS Back to School Circuit. Joining the program are local bands Magnata Joe and Calmmente and DJ Andrei Matté.
The scenario comprises the offer of food services, from food trucks, and a structure for the public to play soap football.
The event has master support from Fundacred and Gocil Segurança and cultural support from Compacta Serviços Ambientais, In Front Mídia, OSF Construtora, Sul Service, Recanto dos Pinheiros Parque, Citroën and Os Construções e Reformas. The promotion is on account of UCSFM.
Bossa Nova no RS
At the Festival, the UCS Orquestra presents the Bossa Nova no RS project, which is part of the UCS Volta à Aulas Circuit. During the month of March, the group travels through ten cities in Rio Grande do Sul to celebrate the greatest hits of the genre. The concerts are part of the project made possible by the Federal Culture Incentive Law, former Rouanet Law.
Come to UCS – Bento Gonçalves
In a similar format, the Vem pra UCS Festival will also be held at the University Campus of the Vinhedos Region, in Bento Gonçalves, on March 4, Saturday, from 4:30 pm. The event will feature a concert by the UCS Orchestra and performances by the band Calmmente and singer Wladi Costa.
