Assembly
- 1 bread of your choice (20 slices)
- 1 special mashed potato recipe
- 1 recipe for tomato sauce with sausages
- Straw potato, ketchup and mustard to serve (optional)

- 800 grams of potatoes, boiled and squeezed while still hot
- 50 grams of cold butter
- 200 grams of UHT cream
- 100 grams of cream cheese
- 200 grams of grated mozzarella cheese
- 50 grams of grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and grated nutmeg to taste
Tomato sauce with sausages
- 50 ml of olive oil
- 1 teacup of chopped onion
- 400 grams of peeled tomatoes cut into cubes (1 can)
- 1 tea spoon of sugar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 20 Vienna sausages, cooked and cut in half lengthwise
- Fresh chopped parsley to taste
- 2 tablespoons diced red bell pepper (optional)

Cook the potatoes until soft.
Pass the potatoes still hot through the juicer or sieve. Add the butter and cream, stir well or beat with a mixer. Add the cottage cheese and cheese, mix well, season with salt and nutmeg. Reserve.
Tomato sauce with sausages.
In a pan, brown the onion in the oil and add the diced tomatoes, sugar and salt. Let it cook for about 5 minutes and add the sausages, peppers and parsley. Let it boil and turn off the fire. Use in assembly.
Assembly
In a greased baking dish or refractory, place half of the bread slices. Distribute the sausages over the slices of bread, spread the tomato sauce, cover with a layer of bread and a layer of mashed potatoes. Finish with some straw potatoes and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 20 minutes. Serve with accompaniments of your choice.
