About 7,200 students will start the school year in Kindergarten and Elementary Schools, next Monday, the 13th, in Estância Velha. The last details in the 26 schools in the municipality have already been finalized and all employees of the municipal education network will participate in the 2023 Education Seminar on February 9 and 10.
The activity, which brought together around 600 teachers, 200 interns, over 250 Semec employees, service agents and school secretaries, took place at Teatro Feevale and served as the official start of the 2023 school year.
One of the novelties of the Department of Education and Culture for this year is the acquisition of three new school buses to transport students. Also new is the creation of two more rooms for AEE – Specialized Educational Assistance which, together with the ten existing rooms, expands the service to children with needs in appropriate rooms (1 room in Early Childhood Education and 11 rooms in Elementary School).
Another piece of good news for the school community is the start of activities for new school counselors. Now all schools Elementary School will have full-time guidance counselors in schools.
REGISTRATION AND TRANSFERS
In the meantime, applications for transfers in Kindergarten and Elementary Schools remain open until February 17th (reason for change of address or other issues that will be analyzed by Semec’s Vacancy Management sector).
Enrollment for new enrollments in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education is also open until June 30th, for people who came to live in Estância Velha. The registration link is available on the City Hall website. All requests will be answered according to the availability of vacancies in the schools, as soon as possible.
“The city gains new life from next Monday, with the return to school of our little people from Estancia. During the school recess, we worked closely with the Board of Education’s management team, so that everything was ready and impeccable to receive our students. I am sure that the anxiety to return is the common feeling among the entire school community”, comments Mayor Diego Francisco.
