This Saturday (11), Torres will have the “Carnival Heat” at Praça Borges de Medeiros – Prainha with the “Night Glow” air balloon show. Tourists and locals will enjoy the best of Carnival with the blocks on a special night with performances and music to warm up and wait for the big event on February 18th and 20th, the Carnival of Colors.
Night Glow is a partnership between the Gaucho Ballooning Federation and the Municipality of Torres, the light and music show will also publicize the 33rd International Ballooning Festival. The big event will take place at 21:00, in Prainha.
Eight balloons will be displayed. The party is open to the public and is part of the “O Melhor do Verão” program, which includes sports, artistic and leisure activities. The promotion is from the Secretariat of Culture and Sport and the Secretariat of Tourism.
O 33rd International Ballooning Festival will take place between April 27th, Thursday, and May 1st, Monday, Labor Day holiday. With the Night Glow in Prainha, visitors who are on the seafront will be able to watch the balloon show in captive flight, talk to the balloonists, the main stars of the biggest event in Torres, the Capital of Ballooning. At the opportunity, the pilots will be available to provide information about the sport, take pictures and much more.
The Torres Colors Carnival will take place on the 18th and 20th of February, starting at 8 pm, concentrated on Avenida Beira-Mar in front of Praça Claudino Nunes Pereiraa place already known to revelers and which for many years was the scene of the Carnival party.
