In line with the growing strength of Angus genetics in Paraná herds, the Brazilian Angus Association participates in the Show Rural Coopavel, in Cascavel (PR), from the 6th to the 10th of February.
Together with the Nucleus of Angus Breeders from Western Paraná and the Padrão Beef Cooperativa Agroindustrial de Meat Producers, from Cascavel, the entity will promote tastings of certified Angus cuts in order to present the meat’s differentials to the public.
According to the Nucleus coordinator, Reno Paulo Kunz, hundreds of creators and connoisseurs of premium products are expected at the entity’s stand, located in the Coopavel Pavilion.
The official programming for the breed begins on Tuesday (7/2) with a meeting between producers, associates linked to the Nucleus and members of Padrão Beef, starting at 2 pm. On the occasion, there will be tasting of cuts such as Brisket, Stinco and Short Rib.
The production of Certified Angus Beef from Paraná will be prepared in the parrilla by Armando Prata. Also known as Miura, he is an internationally awarded grill master and expert in smoking.
On Wednesday (8/2), there will be the Angus Workshop, where the association’s team will present the breed to the general public. With the support of a bull, the characteristics of the breed and functionalities inside and outside the gate will be highlighted. The activity will start at 3 pm.
After the technical explanation, visitors will also be invited to taste certified Angus cuts. The Coopavel program will also include an Angus Kids Workshop. The action aims to promote the interaction of children with beef cattle and to present the breed.
Alongside local breeders, the national manager of the Certified Angus Beef Program, Ana Doralina Menezes, will accompany the agenda. “Our goal is to show the attributes that differentiate certified Angus cuts, which are those that carry the program’s green-yellow seal on their packaging. It is the seal that certifies the standardization of carcasses and recognizes Angus genetics”, she ponders.
Those who visit Coopavel can also check out an exhibition of purebred and crossbred animals. The expectation is to have 20 specimens, between breeders and steers. “The animals are all from breeders in Paraná and were selected because they demonstrate the superior potential of Angus genetics for the production of high-quality meat”, informs Reno.
