The Citizenship, Labor and Community Action Secretariat of On Saturday (4), Capão da Canoa will hold another edition of the Arte Norte – Em Movimento Handicraft Fair, from 1 pm to 8 pm, at Praça da Igreja Matriz. The fair is aimed at artisans in the municipality who wish to promote and market their work to the community.
The fair is itinerant and throughout the month of February it will take place in other public spaces in the city. On the 11th and 12th of February it will be held at Largo do Baronda, by the sea, on the 18th of February at Praça do Raul and on the 25th of February, again, at Praça da Igreja Matriz, always open for visitation from 1 pm to 8pm.
According to the mayor of Capão da Canoa, Amauri Magnus Germano, the municipality has many artisans, some of whom even make a living or earn extra income by selling handicrafts. “For many years we have had handicraft tents at the Prove Capão Fair, which are highly appreciated and visited by the community. The Arte Norte Fair is yet another opportunity for our artisans who do not participate in the fixed fair to publicize their talents”, he says.
The fair is organized by the Municipality of Capão da Canoa, through the Department of Citizenship, Work and Community Action, with the support of the Gaúcha Foundation for Work and Social Action (FGTAS) and Artesanato Gaúcho.
