A video that shows three nursing students in a hospital in Manacapuru (AM) has generated indignation among internet users for the disrespectful way in which patients are mentioned. “Our patients are all there dying”, says one of the young women, filming herself. Then, she points the camera at her colleagues and adds: “everything is moving on the cell phone”.
Faced with the repercussions, the images reached the management of the General Hospital of Manacapuru, which called the trio’s teaching institution and decided to suspend the trio’s internships.
In a statement, the health unit stressed that it does not condone “such behavior” and that it works “with ethics, morality and respecting the dignity of the human person, as well as guaranteeing serenity with our patients in Manacapuru and neighboring municipalities”.
“We clarify that the educational institution was made official, with the suspension of its internships”, he added.
