Casa das Artes in Novo Hamburgo will host, starting this Thursday (2nd), the exhibition “Dicotomy: Luxury x Waste”, by the artist Simone Rosa. Contemplated in the Notice of Occupation of the Gallery of Casa das Artes 2020/2021, the exhibition represents the resumption of artistic activities in the space, interrupted in 2020, due to the pandemic.
Until the 25th of February, the public will be able to check out the work of the plastic artist from Santa Maria, who in this exhibition reflects on environmental sustainability and the consequences of unbridled consumption.
Through the painting of printed fabrics, Simone makes reference to luxury, the opulence of clothing and decorations since antiquity. The mention of garbage appears in the construction of the supports, through screens made from discarded fabrics and cardboard.
