The Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Santa Cruz do Sul and the Association of Carnival Entities of Santa Cruz do Sul (AECSCS) are preparing the Santafolia 2023 schedule that should attract thousands of people to the street Carnival in the city.
The main novelty this year is the location of the parade of samba schools, which will take place at Marechal Floriano, on February 25th. Before that, however, there is an intense schedule.
Borges dance
On Friday (10th), the choice of the new Carnival court takes place, in the Central Pavilion of the Oktoberfest Park. On Saturday (11), starting at 6 pm, the third edition of the Borges dance. The attraction will take place on the block between Marechal Floriano and Marechal Deodoro streets.
Warm up
In the following week, two other unprecedented actions will promote a warm-up, taking the revelry atmosphere to every corner of the municipality. On Saturday (18), a personalized electric trio, with sound and light structure, will pass through several neighborhoods of the city, starting at 5 pm, with the presence of the Santafolia court and with a show by the Sambora Group, from Santa Cruz.
Carnaelétrico
On Sunday (19), another attraction will be the Carnaelétrico, which will take place at Marechal Floriano, with the presence of an electric trio, in a structure very similar to the carnival in Salvador, Bahia. The departure will take place at the corner of Rua Ramiro Barcelos, at 6 pm.
Along the route, revelers and blocks will be able to accompany the electric trio to the Oktoberfest Park portico. There will be two concerts, one with the musician from Pelotas, Matheus Almeida and his band, composed of 15 members, and another with N’Band.
Samba schools
Two samba schools have already started preparations. According to the president of Academicos do União, Marta Nunes, some costumes and props have already been completed. Another school that is already mobilizing its members is Imperatriz do Sol. According to the president, Cristiano Calisto, the school has been preparing itself since last year.
