O year 2023 in Rio Grande Shopping Square starts by establishing old partnerships and highlighting inclusion through the project ‘Inclusive Square’, which makes Praça a reference in the city’s social causes and joins forces for the common good. The block ‘Os 100 Limites’ is one of the projects that receives support from Praça Shopping, and is getting ready to parade on the avenue in yet another carnival.
The carnival block has social objectiveand brings together people with and without deficiency or neuroatypical, students from specialized schools and participants from entities in our city, such as APAE – Association of Parents and Students of the Exceptional; AMAR – Rio Grande Association of Parents and Friends of Autistic People; José Álvares de Azevedo School of Special Education; Profª Carmen Regina Teixeira Baldino Bilingual School; AAPECAN – Support Association for People With Cancer, and Riograndina Pre and Post Transplantation Association – ARPPT.
For Filipe Branco, the project’s creator, more than 1,700 people are expected to participate in the 2023 parades.
“Praça Shopping has been fundamental for projects involving the Block. Not only with Carnival, but for doing everything to offer an inclusive space throughout the year, always planning actions for everyone to participate”, highlights Filipe.
