The Bota-Fora project, promoted by the Municipal Urban Cleaning Department (DMLU) of Porto Alegre, performs the service in 11 communities from Tuesday (24th) to Friday (27th). The action takes place from 8 am.
The recommendation to the residents of the places served is that the materials be made available in front of the residences the night before, or until 7:30 am on the day of Bota-Fora. The service is publicized through posters placed in health units, markets, schools, bars and neighborhood associations.
ecopoints
In addition to Bota-Fora, the disposal of these materials can be done directly at one of the DMLU’s Destiny Units (UDC). UDCs, also called ecopoints, receive wood, old furniture and debris and are strategically distributed throughout the city. The DMLU is part of the Municipal Department of Urban Services (SMSUrb).
Programming by communities*:
Day 24 – Tuesday: Cascalpina (Glória), Graciliano Ramos (Glória), Bastilanas (Glória), Cascata (Glória);
Day 25 – Wednesday: Elo Dourado (Lomba do Pinheiro);
Day 26 – Thursday: Francisca (Lajeado), Bela Vista (Humaitá), Nossa Senhora da Paz (Humaitá), Humaitá Sunset (Humaitá), Progresso (Humaitá);
Day 27 – Friday: Ceres (Parthenon).
*The DMLU clarifies that the Bota-Fora program is carried out in the communities. Neighborhoods are enclosed in parentheses to make them easier to find.
