On the afternoon of this Thursday, the 19th, the food raised in the PDT campaign for you was delivered. The campaign was promoted by the Estância Velha Democratic Labor Party, through the Cabinet of Councilwoman Gabriele Martins, with the support of State Deputy Gilmar Sossella and Federal Deputy Pompeo de Mattos.
The action started in November and aimed to collect food, helping those in need in Estância Velha to start a new cycle in 2023, with dignity and food on the table.
The food collected was delivered to the Pastoral da Criança of the Santo Antônio do Alto da Colina Community, in the Rincão dos Ilhéus neighborhood and to the Women’s League to Combat Cancer, which will be responsible for delivering the food to families at food risk.
The handover was carried out by party members, president Plínio dos Santos, vice-president Carlos Bonne, treasurer Cida Santos, councilor Gabriele Martins and councilor alternates, Sandra Costa and Frida Hartmann. Cris Fleck received it on behalf of the Women’s League to Combat Cancer and Janete Selzler on behalf of Pastoral da Criança.
Each entity received about 100kg of food (rice, beans, flour, pasta, and oil). “The PDT, through its political agents, wants to actively participate in the life of the Estancia community. Nothing better than demonstrating this through solidarity and concern for the less favored”, says President Plínio dos Santos, president of the Municipal Executive of the PDT of Estância Velha.
