Mercur presents the new Postural Corrector with Triple Adjustment to help re-educate and maintain posture by stimulating body awareness. The resource was developed based on conversations with clients and consumers who brought up needs and pointed out improvements in terms of comfort and design for the range of brokers.
The corrector is adjustable and promotes different levels of stimulation according to daily activities such as during work or therapeutic exercises. It is anatomical and ergonomic, which allows for greater comfort by adapting to the torso of each person.
The corrector base provides the support you need for a more upright posture. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of pain and injuries resulting from postural changes, such as thoracic hyperkyphosis and shoulder protrusion (excessive projection of the shoulders forward) and also to stimulate body awareness as a complementary strategy in physiotherapeutic treatments, such as pilates and RPG, between others.
“The use of the Postural Corrector with Triple Adjustment works as a complement to the physiotherapy treatment. Stretching and exercises are needed to strengthen the musculature and prevent pain and other problems resulting from poor posture”, says Caroline Wagner, a physiotherapist who works in the Research and Development area at Mercur.
In this sense, practicing physical exercises is one of the recommended care for postural health. “It is important to consult a health professional to obtain safe guidelines regarding care and physical and therapeutic activities” adds the physiotherapist.
