The Department of Culture, Sports and Leisure (SMCEL) of Gravataí promotes the Mais Verão Project with sports activities that bring animation, health, leisure and well-being to the communities in the municipality. The Breno Jardim Garcia subdivision and the Morada do Vale I neighborhood received gymnastics, recreation and sports activities this morning (17).
For Secretary of Culture, Sport and Leisure Leandro Ferreira, the events are designed to stimulate the physical, mental and social well-being of the participants. “Our intention is to instigate the community to integrate the practice of exercises in life and, thus, promote health”, he emphasized.
Through SMCEL, the City Hall provides the population with access to leisure and the practice of sports. In addition, from events like this, the government has the opportunity to help families in a situation of social vulnerability, collecting non-perishable food items.
