In the first meeting of the year, the collegiate of mayors that make up the Association of Municipalities of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Amvars) swore in the new board of directors of the entity. Estância Velha hosted the meeting and the mayor of Estancia Diego Francisco was officially sworn in as president of the association for the year 2023. The position of vice-president will be held by the mayor of Lindolfo Collor, Gaspar Behne.
The new president led the work and deliberated on the agendas of collective interest of the municipalities. “It is a responsibility and a very big challenge to lead the entity that represents the municipalities in the region. My goal is to increasingly strengthen the entity, so that our region will have more strength in several important demands that we intend to work on collectively during the year 2023”, predicts Mayor Diego.
